Just days after students complained about delays in the launch of the CBSE re-evaluation process, fresh technical glitches have now hit the board’s online portal, leaving thousands of Class 10 and Class 12 students struggling to access their accounts.
Students across multiple states reported login failures, session timeouts, OTP issues, and incomplete application submissions soon after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) activated the re-evaluation and verification window for the 2026 board examination results.
The latest disruption has triggered frustration among students and parents already anxious over tight application deadlines and uncertainty around mark verification procedures.
Students Report Login Failures And Payment Errors
Since the portal went live, social media platforms have been flooded with complaints from students unable to log in using their credentials.
Several users claimed the website repeatedly displayed “invalid login” or “server busy” messages despite entering correct details. Others alleged that payments were deducted but applications remained incomplete.
“I’ve been trying since morning. The OTP arrives late, the session expires, and then the portal crashes again,” said a Class 12 student from Delhi.
Some parents also claimed the technical problems worsened during peak evening hours as traffic on the portal increased sharply.
Delayed Launch Added To Anxiety
The technical issues come after earlier criticism over delays in opening the re-evaluation process itself.
Many students had been waiting for clarity regarding:
- Verification of marks
- Photocopies of evaluated answer sheets
- Re-evaluation procedures
- Fee structures and timelines
Educational forums and student groups had earlier accused CBSE of poor communication regarding the schedule, particularly as many university admission processes are already underway.
For students seeking admissions based on revised scores, every delay carries significant consequences.
CBSE Yet To Issue Detailed Technical Explanation
While CBSE has acknowledged intermittent technical difficulties in brief responses to user complaints, the board has not yet issued a detailed public statement explaining the cause of the glitches or whether deadlines may be extended.
Officials are reportedly monitoring server loads and backend operations as large numbers of students attempt simultaneous access.
Education experts say such problems highlight the increasing pressure on digital examination infrastructure as millions of students depend entirely on centralized online systems for critical academic processes.
Growing Dependence On Digital Systems
The latest portal disruption comes at a time when CBSE is already facing scrutiny over broader technology-related concerns linked to digital evaluation systems and online examination management.
Over the past few years, the board has aggressively expanded digitization across:
- Result processing
- Evaluation systems
- Verification requests
- Student documentation
- Academic records
While digitization has improved speed and accessibility in many areas, recurring technical failures continue to expose scalability and infrastructure challenges.
Students Demand Deadline Extension
As complaints mounted online, several student groups and educators demanded an extension of the application deadline to ensure affected candidates are not disadvantaged due to technical failures.
Some students also urged CBSE to introduce alternative submission mechanisms in case the portal continues facing instability.
For now, lakhs of students remain caught between server errors and academic uncertainty — refreshing login pages while hoping the system stabilizes before the deadline closes.
