In his first public statement since the arrest, Chetan’s father strongly denied the allegations against his son and insisted that he is innocent.
The case revolves around the death of 26-year-old businessman Ketan Agarwal, who fell from a cliff at Lohagad Fort near Lonavala on June 18. However, Chetan’s father has rejected the police version of events. Speaking to the media, he said his son had no role in Ketan’s death and was not even near the victim at the time of the incident. “My son is innocent. He has been wrongly implicated in this case,” the father reportedly said while expressing confidence that the truth would eventually emerge. Investigators claim that evidence gathered from mobile phone location data, witness statements, and other technical inputs points towards a premeditated conspiracy. Authorities have alleged that Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary carefully planned the crime and executed it during a visit to Lohagad Fort.
