Today’s Chanakya Exit Polls Snapshot: BJP Dominates Assam, Eyes Bengal Upset; Vijay’s TVK Impresses

The latest Today’s Chanakya exit poll projections have indicated a strong performance for the BJP-led NDA in Assam while also suggesting the possibility of a major political upset in West Bengal, where the BJP is projected to mount a serious challenge against the ruling All India Trinamool Congress.

The exit poll findings have generated intense political reactions across states, with parties cautiously responding to predictions ahead of official counting day.

BJP Dominates Assam

According to the survey projections, the BJP-led alliance is expected to comfortably retain power in Assam under the leadership of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

The poll suggested that the NDA benefited from strong organizational networks, welfare outreach, infrastructure development, and consolidation of support across several regions of the state. Analysts said the BJP’s campaign around governance, connectivity, and regional stability appeared to resonate with large sections of voters.

Opposition parties, including Congress and regional allies, were projected to remain competitive in certain constituencies but struggled to match the NDA’s statewide momentum according to the exit poll estimates.

Bengal Contest Turns Dramatic

In West Bengal, the Chanakya projections hinted at a much tighter battle than expected between the BJP and the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government.

While several surveys continued to place the TMC ahead, the Chanakya poll indicated that the BJP may be capable of pulling off a surprise performance in multiple districts, intensifying speculation about a possible electoral upset.

Political observers described Bengal as the most unpredictable contest of the election cycle, with aggressive campaigning, polarization, welfare politics, and anti-incumbency narratives dominating the electoral atmosphere.

Mamata Banerjee and senior BJP leaders both expressed confidence in their respective electoral prospects while urging workers to remain vigilant until the official results are declared.

Vijay’s TVK Makes Strong Impression

One of the most talked-about aspects of the exit polls was the performance of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, the party led by actor-turned-politician Vijay.

Though not projected to emerge as a dominant force in Tamil Nadu, the exit polls suggested that TVK made a notable electoral impact in several constituencies and succeeded in attracting significant youth and first-time voter support.

Political analysts said Vijay’s popularity, anti-establishment messaging, and mass appeal appeared to have translated into measurable political traction, potentially altering vote shares in closely contested seats.

Observers believe TVK’s debut performance could influence future alliance equations and reshape political strategies in Tamil Nadu’s evolving political landscape.

Parties React Cautiously

Leaders across parties reacted carefully to the projections, emphasizing that exit polls are only indicative surveys and not final outcomes.

The BJP welcomed the predictions as evidence of growing public support, while opposition parties questioned the methodology and accuracy of some poll estimates.

Election experts also reminded voters that exit polls have historically produced mixed results and that official counting remains the only definitive indicator of electoral performance.

With counting day approaching, political activity has intensified across Assam, Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and other states as parties prepare for what could become one of the most closely watched result days in recent years.
