According to official sources, the discussions focused on the rapidly evolving security situation in the Middle East, concerns over regional escalation, maritime security, and the safety of civilians amid the ongoing conflict. PM Modi reportedly emphasized the importance of dialogue, restraint, and diplomatic engagement to prevent further deterioration of the situation.
The Prime Minister also reiterated India’s deep concern over instability in the Gulf region, which remains critical for global energy supplies, trade routes, and the welfare of millions of Indian expatriates living and working across West Asia.
During his interaction with Mohammed bin Salman, PM Modi is understood to have discussed bilateral cooperation, energy security, and the need to maintain peace in the strategically important Gulf region. India and Saudi Arabia share strong ties across sectors including energy, trade, defence, investment, and counterterrorism cooperation.
The conversation with Bahrain’s leadership reportedly focused on regional stability and the safety of Indian nationals residing in the kingdom. Bahrain hosts a significant Indian community and remains an important partner for India in the Gulf region.
Officials said India is closely monitoring developments linked to the Iran-Israel conflict and potential disruptions in key maritime routes, particularly the Strait of Hormuz, through which a large portion of global oil shipments pass.
India has consistently advocated peaceful resolution of conflicts and has maintained active diplomatic engagement with multiple countries involved in or affected by the regional tensions.
