Champions Australia began their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup title defence in style late on Saturday, registering a thumping 97-run victory over New Zealand. Sent in to bat first, Australia posted a competitive 173 for 9 before bowling out New Zealand for just 76 in 14 overs.
