Mumbai Indians buy New York franchise in Major League Cricket

Continuing team-buying spree in T20 leagues around the world, the Reliance Industries Limited-owned Mumbai Indians late on Sunday announced that they have acquired a fifth cricket franchise – MI New York, in the ambitious Major League Cricket (MLC)- the first professional Twenty20 championship in the United States.
