JioMart Goes Live With Its Official WhatsApp Number; Here Is How It Works

After signing a $5.7 billion deal with Facebook, the Reliance Industries is already out with a collaboration, called the JioMart, which has gone live with its official WhatsApp number. Currently functioning only in a few areas of Mumbai, JioMart is soon going to be rolled out across the country.

Working of JioMart

To order from JioMart, the customer must first save JioMart’s WhatsApp number 88500 08000 on their phones. Then, JioMart will send a link to the user’s chat window, which will be active for a period of 30 minutes.

The user must click this link and enter the name, details of the address, and other required information. JioMart would then direct the user to a catalog where the available items are displayed.

After placing the orders, the details would be transferred to a local JioMart Kirana store, which would also get the details of the customer.

Orders placed within 7 pm will be available for pickup for the next two days. The customer will also receive a notification regarding the Kirana store, from where he/she must pick the order.

Mukesh Ambani’s comments

Through the Kirana stores, Reliance is also planning to sell its own private labels under brand names such as Best Farms, Good Life, Masti Oye, Kaffe, Enzo, Mopz, Expelz and Home One.

Mukesh Ambani, in a statement, said that this initiative will help at least 3 crore Kirana stores in the future. He also added: “This means all of you can order and get faster delivery of day-to-day items, from nearby local shops.“
