‘It Makes Me Proud That World-Leaders Are Thanking India’: PM Modi On ‘Mann Ki Baat’

PM Narendra Modi, in his radio-program ‘Mann Ki Baat’, said that he is feeling proud, now that the world-leaders have been thanking India for its efforts in contributing towards a healthier planet. Sunday’s radio show was the 64th episode of the program.

Speaking on various topics on the show, PM Modi highlighted the acknowledgment of various world-leaders for the steps India is taking to eradicate COVID-19 in the country and the globe. Modi said: “Today, when world leaders tell me- Thank you India, thank you, people, of India, I feel very proud. India is caring for its own citizens and India is contributing towards creating a healthier planet.

The Prime Minister also appreciated the efforts of the citizens in rising to the occasion to fight the outbreak in the country. Many of them have been involved in providing food and other essentials to the needy while almost every citizen has realized the importance of using masks.

Modi talks about spitting in public

The PM also spoke about another important topic – spitting in public. He emphasized on the eradication of the habit to fight COVID-19. Modiji added: “Look around, you will see how India has taken up a people-driven battle against COVID-19. India’s fight against COVID-19 is people-driven. Every Indian is a soldier in this fight. I am sure that this people-driven fight in India will definitely be discussed.

However, Modi did not offer any further updates regarding lockdown extension in the country. There is a Video-Conference scheduled with all the CM’s tomorrow, after which, decisions are likely to be taken.
