IPL: Ricky Ponting feels ‘Impact Player’ rule will negate all-rounders

Ahead of the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League, which will see the introduction of ‘Impact Player’ rule, where a batter or bowler can be replaced in the middle of the game as per match situation, Delhi Capital head coach Ricky Ponting feels that it will make all-rounders less valuable. The expansion of the DRS purview, announcement of playing XI after toss and ‘Impact Player’ rule will be the changes in the upcoming season.
