IPL Auction: Dhawan first to be sold, Punjab bag him for Rs 8.25 cr

India opener Shikhar Dhawan became the first player to be sold on day one of the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction in Bengaluru on Saturday, bought by Punjab Kings. The Punjab franchise shelled out Rs 8.25 crore for the left-handed batsman, who played the last edition of the IPL with Delhi Capitals.
