Every state will appoint strength and conditioning coach: Jay Shah

Keeping in mind the recent spate of injuries among Indian cricketers, the BCCI has decided to ask its state units to appoint their own strength and conditioning coaches and have in place sports science and sports medicine teams. It was decided in the Board’s Special General Meeting (SGM) on Saturday that each state unit will have strength and conditioning coaches interviewed by a panel from the National Cricket Academy.
