Deepika Padukone is a lethal weapon in Ram-Leela’s new song
Maine tujhe chhod diya toh (what if I leave you)?, asks Ranveer Singh. Uda doongi (I’ll shoot you), replies Deepika Padukone. That’s pretty much the theme of Ishqyaun Dhishqyaun, the new song from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s desi Romeo and Juliet, Ram-Leela.
Sung by Aditya Narayan, Ishqyaun Dhishqyaun offers more of the violent passion we’ve already seen in the trailer of Ram-Leela. Clad in a black lehenga, blue choli and pink dupatta, Deepika is armed, dangerous and aims straight for Ranveer’s heart with her dil ki goli. He flings her about playfully despite the handgun she’s packing. She gives as good as she gets.
There’s clearly no messing with Deepika and, moustache or no moustache, Ranveer’s taking no chances.
Coming up on November 15, Ram-Leela will be Ranveer’s second film this year after Lootera, and Deepika’s fourth after the blockbuster Race 2, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and Chennai Express.
