Zelensky 'Regrets' Clash With Trump, Offers 'Truce In Sea and Sky' After US Halts Arms To Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said his White House meeting with President Donald Trump was “regrettable” and Kyiv was ready for “constructive” cooperation with the US. He stated Ukraine was prepared to sign agreements on minerals and security “any time and in any convenient format”. Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal stressed US security guarantees were “existentially important” and said Kyiv would do “everything to hold out” against Russia. The New York Times reported a US halt on arms deliveries but Shmygal noted aid was still incoming as of March 3. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk confirmed US military support had paused, adding the decision was made without NATO consultation. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said if the US stopped supplying weapons, it would be “the best contribution to the cause of peace”. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced an 800 billion euro “Rearm Europe” plan and said the EU would provide “immediate military equipment for Ukraine”. n18oc_crux
