As opposition attacked it over party president Amit Shah’s reported comment that it will take 25 years for the promised ‘achhe din’ to come, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday termed the report as “baseless” and said the party president had stated that it will take these many years to restore India its “ancient glory”.

The time of media that could have been utilized in highlighting critical and important issues got wasted in debate around Amit Shah’s statement. This could have been avoided if media has not misquoted him and sensationalize the issue.
