US Warns Ukraine of Oreshnik Attack “In Coming Days” as Kyiv's ATACMS Strike Russian Airbase

Russia has vowed retribution against Ukraine, accusing Kyiv of firing ATACMS on a military airfield in its southern Rostov region. In the latest attack, Moscow said on Dec. 11 Ukraine fired six ATACMS missiles at a military airfield in the port city of Taganrog.“Two of the missiles were shot down while the others were deflected by electronic warfare systems”, Russian defence ministry said. Moscow said no military personnel were hurt but that falling shrapnel “slightly damaged” military vehicles and buildings nearby.Meanwhile, a US official has warned that Russia might soon target Ukraine with another of its new hypersonic Oreshnik missiles.
