Ukraine said on Jan. 7 that its forces struck a Russian military “command post” in Russia’s Kursk region during “combat operations.” Kyiv made the remarks while backtracking on a claim it had launched a fresh offensive in the border area.Meanwhile, Ukrainian Special Operations Forces (SSO) have reported the elimination of 13 North Korean soldiers in Kursk. The SSO said on Jan. 7 that their operators killed five North Korean soldiers in a gunfight and eliminated eight more using drones. Among the items recovered from the deceased soldiers was a letter addressed to the Communist Party of North Korea.
