Rajinikanth, Big B at Ram Charan Teja’s wedding
Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Teja married childhood sweetheart Upasana Kamineni in Hyderabad this morning.
The high profile guests at the wedding included Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan Sridevi with husband Boney Kapoor, and South Indian actors Mohan Babu, Ambreesh, Venkatesh, and Suhasini Mani Ratnam, among others.
Andhra Pradesh Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, Tamil Nadu Governor K. Rosaiah, many state ministers, members of parliament, former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and leaders of various political parties were also present there.
The bride wore a Tarun Tahiliani designed yellow and gold silk sari with a swarovski encrusted border and embellished with zardosi French knots and a sprinkle of tiny soldered stones. Her look was finished with a rani pink zardosi corset blouse and a tulle veil.
Ram Charan wore a Tarun Tahiliani sherwani. Hours before the wedding the Magadheera actor tweeted his excitement: “Will be entering into a new life in couple of hours. really excited and need all ur blessings. Love u all.”
Ram Charan’s Zanjeer co-star Priyanka Chopra was the first one to congratulate the couple: “Congratulations to my favourite Chiranjeevi sir!! Naach gaana full on in Hydrabad!!! Here’s wishing a very happy married life to my Zanjeer co actor Ram Charan and his beautiful better half Upasana!wish I cud have been there!”
Ram Charan’s contemporaries from the Telugu film industry were also present. The groom’s cousin, Telugu star Allu Arjun, was there with wife Sneha Reddy. And giving them company was Rana Daggubati, who is trying his luck in Bollywood.
Chiranjeevi’s family is throwing a lavish reception on Thursday evening at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), which is likely to be attended by Bollywood superstars – Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and others.
