North Korea Could Deploy 100,000 Soldiers To Russia, Zelensky Warns

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that the presence of North Korean troops in Russia could escalate to 100,000, raising significant concerns about Moscow’s military strategy. Speaking via live video call to parliament, Zelensky highlighted that Russian President Vladimir Putin had already deployed 11,000 North Korean troops near Ukraine’s borders. He criticised some European leaders for prioritising elections over Ukraine’s defence, emphasising the urgency of pushing Russia harder to prevent worsening conditions. Zelensky added that without critical pressure, Russia would lack genuine motivation to engage in meaningful peace negotiations.
