Missing Bollywood actor Laila Khan shot dead: Police

Bollywood actor Laila Khan, who had been missing since the last 11 months, has been shot dead, claims a family friend who has been interrogated by the police in Jammu and Kashmir.

Laila, who moved to Mumbai with her family from Pakistan, was working in Bollywood movies.

In February last year, Laila, her three siblings, their mother and another relative went missing from their flat in Mumbai. Laila’s father, Nadir Patel, who was divorced from her mother, filed a police complaint.

Parvez Tak, a family friend, was arrested a couple of weeks ago from Jammu in connection with a different case. However, he has allegedly shared details of Ms Khan and her family’s kidnapping. Mr Tak has reportedly told the police that Laila, her mother and the others were shot dead by three men outside Mumbai after they went missing over a property dispute.

Laila’s father believes Mr Tak helped in their abduction.

Laila was last seen in the Bollywood movie Wafa with actor Rajesh Khanna.
