Is Mallika Sherawat the reason behind Antonio Banderas’ divorce rumour?

This picture of Mallika Sherawat dirty dancing with Hollywood star Antonio Banderas at the Cannes Film Festival was about the only exciting moment from the normally provocative Hisss actress. At the time, we remarked on how she cut an unusually covered up and sophisticated figure on the Croisette.

But it now emerges that Mallika’s close encounter with Zorro may have had repercussions – on his 15 year marriage to actress Melanie Griffith. Divorce rumours have suddenly surfaced and fingers have been pointed at Mallika.

The flurry of rumours also have Mallika accepting an invite from Antonio to visit him in Spain, as well as in Paris.

Gossip says the actress is heading to France to keep her Parisian date with the tall, dark, handsome not-a-stranger, and that he even bought her a diamond pendant. To be fair, it’s not all Mallika – Antonio has also been photographed getting cosy with a “mystery blonde.”

Meanwhile, People magazine reports that Antonio and Melanie are “absolutely fine,” even though 54-year-old Melanie went on holiday alone to Hawaii last week and has also been spotted out and about minus her wedding ring.
