IDF Deploys Artillery In Lebanon For the First Time Since Withdrawal in 2000
For the first time since the IDF’s withdrawal from Lebanon, an artillery battery from the 411th “Keren” Battalion has been deployed in the country to support combat operations. The deployment marks a significant escalation, extending the range of IDF artillery fire into Lebanese territory. Heavy artillery strikes targeted deep into Lebanon as the IDF advanced against Hezbollah’s defensive positions. Division 36 moved artillery assets across the border following engagements with Hezbollah’s second line of defence. These strikes are providing critical operational support for manoeuvring forces in southern Lebanon. The regular battery, comprising male and female soldiers, continues to conduct intense artillery operations deep into the area.
