German national allegedly raped, robbed at home in Mumbai
Mumbai: A German national was allegedly raped and robbed in the wee hours today at her residence in Bandra in suburban Mumbai.
The incident occurred at around 4:30 am when robbers barged into the 27-year-old woman’s rented flat in an upmarket society situated on the Perry Cross Road. The accused allegedly raped her and then fled with valuables.
Sources say that the woman, a student, had been staying at the flat for the last two years.
The security guards at the building, who were on shift at the time of the incident, are being questioned, according to sources. The Crime Branch of the Mumbai Police too is now part of the probe along with the local police, sources add.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered against unknown persons at the Bandra police station. The alleged victim has been sent for a medical examination.
