Ford Mustang Launched in India at Rs 65 Lakh
Ford has launched their flagship muscle car at a price tag of Rs 65 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). One of the most iconic cars to be ever built by the American manufacturer was showcased earlier this year at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo after which muscle car enthusiasts have been waiting for the car’s price announcement.
The Mustang is an important product for Ford as it is the first time the company has made a right-hand drive version of the car, since its launch in 1964 and will put the company against the likes of luxury auto manufacturers in India.
Interestingly, the car comes with various engine options in other countries but in India, it will only be available with a single engine variant offering. Not that one would complain because of the variant that has been launched is the top spec 5 litre Ti-VCT V8 engine offering that produces 395 horsepower and a colossal 515 Nm of torque, that comes connected to a 6-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. The Mustang can initially be booked in Delhi and Mumbai, and the company will include other cities in this list next year.
