Caught On Cam: Georgia Election Commission Chief Doused In Paint After Divisive Parliamentary Vote

On November 16, Georgia’s Election Commission Chief, Giorgi Kalandarishvili, was attacked by opposition official David Kirtadze. Kirtadze, a member of the UNM opposition party, threw paint at Kalandarishvili during a meeting to confirm the final election results. The incident occurred after Kirtadze attempted to speak without following protocol, which led officials to turn off his microphone.
