Apple may have rejected this touchscreen feature for iPhone 13 series
Apple has tested and seems to have rejected, for now at least, in-display fingerprint reader for iPhones, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. In its weekly Power On newsletter, Gurman said that Apple won’t add in-screen Touch ID to iPhone 13 series. “While Apple had tested in-screen Touch ID for the next flagship iPhones, it won’t make the cut this year. I believe Apple is all-in on Face ID for its higher-end iPhones and its long-term goal is to implement Face ID in the display itself,” wrote Gurman.
