“The result is a more accurate reflection of the current entertainment landscape, a 21st century reality where Bollywood’s biggest stars (Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, US $33.5 million apiece) earn more than some Hollywood A-listers (Leonardo DiCaprio and Channing Tatum, US $29 million apiece),” Forbes said.

He is co-producing MS Dhoni: The Untold Story,” an upcoming biopic that has been fraught with delays but has already funneled some US $3 million into the Indian star’s pockets.

Boxer Manny Pacquiao is ranked second taking home US $160 million on the year. The Celebrity 100 list measures the earnings of the highest-paid entertainers on the planet over the past 12 months.
