After 9 Months In Space, Countdown Begins For Astronauts Sunita Williams And Butch Wilmore' Return

The countdown has begun for return of two astronauts who have spent more than nine months aboard the International Space Station (ISS). NASA confirmed that Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore will come back to Earth on March 18. Williams and Wilmore will return alongside another American astronaut and a Russian cosmonaut aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft, which arrived at the ISS. Wilmore and Williams have been on the ISS since June last year after the Boeing Starliner spacecraft, which they were testing on its maiden crewed mission, suffered propulsion issues, rendering it unfit for their return journey.01:34 NINE MONTHS IN ORBIT02:10 288 DAYS AWAY FROM EARTH02:57 SPACEX TO THE RESCUE 03:22 THE TOUGHEST PART03:57 NASA’S BIGGEST SPACE DEBATE n18oc_world n18oc_crux
