Hamas said on Jan. 14 that it hopes for a “clear and comprehensive” deal at the conclusion of ongoing talks in Qatar’s Doha for a truce in Gaza. The Palestinian group said in a statement that it had held consultations with leaders of other Palestinian factions.The statement said that Hamas informed the Palestinian factions “of the progress made in the negotiations underway in Doha.” Hamas added that the completion of the agreement “has reached its final stages”, as per a statement released by the group.Meanwhile, negotiators are meeting in Qatar hoping to finalise details of a plan to end the war in Gaza. Earlier, US President Joe Biden indicated a ceasefire and hostage release deal was imminent.
