Huge fireball, roof collapse: Kuwait shares video of Iranian drone strikes on airport- watch

Kuwait has released dramatic footage showing the aftermath of alleged Iranian drone strikes on Kuwait International Airport, including a massive fireball and parts of the terminal roof collapsing. The attack marks one of the most serious escalations in the Gulf region in recent weeks.

According to Kuwaiti authorities, multiple drones struck Terminal 1 of the airport, damaging civilian infrastructure and temporarily suspending flight operations. Videos circulating online show thick smoke billowing from the airport, debris scattered across terminals, and emergency crews responding to the scene.

Reports indicate that at least one person was killed and dozens were injured in the strikes. Kuwait condemned the attack and warned that it “will not tolerate” assaults on its territory.

The incident came hours after fresh military exchanges between the United States and Iran, adding to fears that the regional conflict could widen further across the Gulf. Reuters reported that drones and missiles targeted both airport facilities and other strategic locations in Kuwait.

Footage released by Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation reportedly captured the moment a drone slammed into the airport terminal, triggering a giant explosion and partial roof collapse. AP described the drone as appearing similar to Iran’s delta-wing “Shahed”-style drones.

Several airlines, including Indian carrier IndiGo, issued travel advisories and temporarily suspended flights to Kuwait following the attack.
Kuwait International Airport was struck by Iranian drones, causing significant damage to a passenger terminal and resulting in the death of an Indian national and injuries to dozens. Kuwait’s defense ministry reported destroying numerous missiles and drones, while the Ministry of External Affairs condemned the attack and called for an immediate cessation of such violence.
