Rashid’s 32-ball 79 not out, which included 10 sixes, didn’t prove enough to take Gujarat past MI’s 218/5; and Surya’s unbeaten 103 off 49 balls, including 11 fours and 6 sixes, proved to be the key in his side’s 27-run win. On their way, both Rashid and Surya entered the record books.
