Australian cricketer great Ricky Ponting is in awe of India middle-order batsman Suryakumar Yadav and the legend feels that the trailblazer will bring about global revolution in T20 cricket. Surya, who had an incredible run in the shortest format in 2022, was recently named the ICC Men’s T20I Cricketer of the Year and according to Ponting the 32-year-old is one of the best players in terms of innovation and skill. Ponting feels that Surya could inspire a new breed of players to emulate his style of play and take T20 cricket to “another level” globally.
