End of road for Dinesh Karthik, Ashwin as India’s T20 transition starts
The ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia, in all likelihood, will be Dinesh Karthik and Ravichandran Ashwin’s last appearance in the format as the Chetan Sharma-led selection committee started the transition phase in the shortest version of the game keeping the 2024 edition in the West Indies and USA in mind. Hardik Pandya was on Monday named T20I captain for the short three-match series in New Zealand, starting November 18 (four days after T20WC final).
