Gaikwad becomes joint-fastest Indian to score 1000 runs in IPL

Chennai Super Kings opener Ruturaj Gaikwad equalled legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar’s feat on Sunday as he became the joint-fastest Indian to score 1000 runs in the history of the Indian Premier League. Gaikwad, who took 31 innings to reach the landmark, hit Sunrisers Hyderabad paceman Marco Jansen for a biggie on the first ball of the sixth over to reach the four-digit mark in IPL.
