Indian Mujahideen, CBI will hold ground for Congress in 2014: Modi
Bahraich: Continuing his pitch against the Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party Prime Ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi accused the Congress of going easy towards terror outfits and using the CBI. Addressing a rally in Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh, Modi said that the Indian Mujahideen and CBI will hold ground for the Congress in 2014. “Those who could not defeat Modi in three elections are now using other ways to target me. Sometimes they get CBI, sometimes they give IM a free hand. We won’t be affected by those who play politics with bombs. We are not afraid of terror, we’ll give them a befitting reply. In the next elections, SP, BSP and Congress coalition will not be seen in electoral ground. The CBI and Indian Mujahideen will be holding ground in next elections to save Congress,” Modi said. Modi also took on the Congress over the I&B Ministry’s advisory to TV channels. Modi said the advisory came as the government was unhappy with the way his Patna rally got more media attention than Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi’s rally in Delhi on the same day.
“The advisory was ordered not for showing the Gujarat CM along with PM on TV screens on Independence Day, they were not worried about the dignity of PM but they were worried that on October 27, Modi and Rajnath were speaking in Patna and the Congress’s shehzada was speaking in Delhi. TV channels were live with Modi’s speech and not with Rahul’s rally,” Modi said. He said by such an advisory, the government was trying to strangulate the voice of democracy. Modi also took on the Samajwadi Party government in Uttar Pradesh saying the state is powerless, but the state government is not bothered. “UP CM wrote to me asking for lions, earlier CM was interested in elephants. I wish the CM could have asked for Amul Dairy network, cows from Gir, power for the people of UP,” Modi said. He praised West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee saying, “Mamata Banerjee fights for Bengal, demands from Centre for development in Bengal, but SP and BSP don’t ask anything for UP’s development.” He also praised Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, saying, “Shivraj Singh Chouhan scripted new growth in every sphere be it agriculture, electricity or roads.”
