Bengal Higher Education Crisis: 1,000 Colleges, 38 Universities Lack NAAC Nod, Reveals Centre

West Bengal has 1,514 colleges and 58 universities. However, only 514 colleges and 20 universities have received accreditation from the NAAC. In other words, 1,000 colleges and 38 universities are operating without NAAC recognition.
