Russia ‘Mass Produces Nuclear Shelters’, Biden Okays Banned Mines For Ukraine, NATO Nations On Alert

Russia has begun mass production of bomb shelters that can protect against a variety of threats, the country’s emergency ministry’s research institute said. The “KUB-M” mobile shelters can offer protection against a range of threats, including shockwaves and radiation from a nuclear blast, shrapnel, debris, and fires. The standard unit accommodates 54 people, but additional modules can be added, the institute said. It can even be deployed in Russia’s vast northern permafrost, according to the state institute.The move comes after Ukraine attacked Russia’s Bryansk region with six US-supplied ATACMS long-range missiles for the first time on Nov. 19, as per Moscow. The reported strike came a day after US President Joe Biden agreed to allow Ukraine to fire American long-range missiles deep into Russia.Russian President Vladimir Putin on Nov. 19 signed a decree lowering the threshold for a nuclear strike in response to a broader range of conventional attacks.
